ACTIVE BODY ACTIVE MIND

1610 will be running a 2nd traineeship commencing on the 2/6/14 for 15weeks. The focus areas are both Crewkerne and Chard. (16-24 years) . Contact Aime on 07787 126856 or email  aime.turner@icon-training.com The pool lifeguarding part is not essential therefore any non-swimmer are more than welcome to come along to our next selection day. Below are some of the qualifications that applicants on the traineeship will have the opportunity to take:

·         Exercise and Fitness Certificate Level 2

·         NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)

·         Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity

·         Functional Skills

·         Employability qualification

·         First Aid at work

·         Online qualifications such as H&S, Fire Marshall, Food Safety and COSHH

 

The traineeship will run for 14 weeks, 4 days each week. 2 days are classroom based (at Trinity Leisure Centre, Bridgwater) and 2 days will be work experience based in one of our 1610 sites. We will try wherever possible to place candidates close to their home address therefore living in Bridgwater is not essential. Our next information session is on 17th May at Cresda Leisure Centre, Chard, 9..30–1.30pm. Candidates wishing to take the NPLQ are asked to bring along their swimming costume and towel for a simple pool test
