With effect from October 1st 2016 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour. Daido in Ilminster wish to recruit two Apprentice Manufacturing Team Members. You will be learning machining processes from the bottom up, beginning in the first year of employment. From September 2017 you will be attending day release at college to obtain NVQ Level 2 Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering with the intention of reaching at least level 3 and possibly level 4. Depending on development you will focus in learning either milling or turning processes as a specialism. You will be mechanically minded and eager to learn. Applicants should have a minimum of Grade C in Maths, English and a Science and should demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving and practical skills. Wages start at apprenticeship rates, working hours are 8am to 4.30pm Mon to Thursday and 8am to 1.20pm on Friday.
